Wretch 32 has released his fifth studio album ‘Upon Reflection’. In a Twitter post on October 17, the North London rapper revealed that the album would drop at “midnight tonight”, The successor to 2017’s FR32 was released through Polydor and features an all star cast from the grime scene, including Giggs, Ghetts, Burna Boy, Avelino and Talay Riley.
The Tottenham artist, real name, Jermaine Scott Sinclair, released a post on Twitter of the track listing to the new album as seen below.

‘Upon Reflection’ received a five star review in NME. Kyann-Sian Williams who wrote the review said. “He’s been at the top of his game for a decade, and this fifth studio album is confirmation that Jermaine Sinclair is one of the most gifted lyricists in the UK”
“With his methodical and insightful lyrics,Wretch 32 proves his pen is mightier than most . Manoeuvring over his diverse beat selection, he’s created what is, quite frankly, one of the best rap records this year.”
The Guardian awarded his fifth studio effort three out of five stars. hailing the album as “a return to classic, fast-spitting Fire in the Booth form”.
The full album can be heard through Spotify at the link below, while the music video for ‘Mummy’s Boy’ was unveiled on August 30.
Of his new music, Sinclair said, “I think now is where I’ve got to show bravery,” Wretch said about his new material. “Because the game is in a transition and it seems like people are possibly preferring quantity over quality. When you’re someone who represents quality and an element of class, I don’t actually think that will go out of fashion.”
On November 21, Wretch 32 is set to release his book Rapthology. The 400 page book documents the life of the rapper, from his career to personal life. In his promotional Twitter post to the project, he wrote. “People often ask me to explain how my mind works, or to explain my journey in detail. This is me merging the 2 through complex simplicity.”
