Kyle Pavone, frontman for metalcore band We Came As Romans, has died, aged 28. The band confirmed Pavone’s passing on their Instagram account, writing that they were “devastated” by his untimely passing.
They wrote: “Kyle’s tragic loss came too early in his life and those of his bandmates. All are devastated by his passing.”
“We will miss his smiles, his sincerity, his concern for other, and his impressive musical talent.”
Pavone joined We Came As Romans in 2008, replacing Chris Moore, and was the band’s longest serving vocalist, releasing five studio albums, most recently Cold Like War, which was released in 2017. The band were due to embark on a tour with Welsh rock band Bullet For My Valentine next month.
TMZ report that Pavone as taken to hospital in Michigan on August 19, before his passing on August 25. No cause of death has been confirmed yet, pending an autopsy.
We Came As Romans have asked that their fans donate to charities, rather than purchasing flowers, and information as to which charities the band wish to promote will be announced this week.
