Emerging indie band from Scotland Vistas has recently shared a new single “Sucker” from their upcoming debut album. The track came not so long after “Teenage Blues”, the very first preview of the trio’s first record.
Vistas is gearing up to be the Scottish next big thing in the indie scene. The three-piece rocker released the first EP titled Hello in July 2019. The EP consists of four tracks, all of which have gained over one million streams on Spotify.
Regarding their new single “Sucker”, the band’s frontman Prentice gave out some backgrounds of the track: “Sucker is a track about being completely head over heels in love with someone and recognising all the senseless things people do in order to maintain the love they feel. The intention of the song is to show that, at times, everyone can do daft things when they’ve fallen for someone.”
In April, Vistas will also open for Circa Waves’ new tour for their fourth studio album Sad Happy. Their supporting act will take place only at Circa Waves’ show in London on April 3. Apart from doing a show together, both Vistas and Circa Waves did a collaboration on the track “Teenage Blues”. The song is co-written with Kieran Shudall, the lead singer of Circa Waves.
The Edinburgh band confirmed the release of the first full-length record later this year. More details will be updated here. “Sucker” and “Teenage Blues” are available now everywhere.
