American indie rock stars Vampire Weekend have announced that tickets are now available for their upcoming tour in November. The boys from New York have also revealed that they are going to be joined by London rockers Noah and The Whale.
Their latest album, ‘Modern Vampires of the City’, has been credited as one of the albums of the year and has unsurprisingly gained them a second number one album on the famous Billboard 200 chart, after second album ‘Contra’ also went to number one. The album sold over 134,000 copies in it’s first week on sale, and are the first ‘indie group’ to top the charts since country singer Jason Aldean topped the charts at the back end of 2012.
Intriguing track ‘Unbelievers’ has already been recognised as a live favourite and Ezra Koenig and Rostam Batmanglij, lyricist and lead composer respectively have been described as ‘the most intricate and intelligent songwriters of their time’. With big statements like that, the boys are eager to prove and perform exactly what they are ready to offer.
They’ll be performing at five main arenas:
Birmingham National Indoor Arena – Tuesday 12th
02 Arena London – Wednesday 13th
The Hydro at Glasgow – Friday 15th
Leeds First District Arena – Saturday 16th
Manchester Arena Sunday 17th
