Unknown T announces new track “Roberto C” alongside Nottingham duo Young T and Bugsey.
The new track has been teased across social media for the last week with clips of the artists on set for the video and in the studio working on the track together, with producer p2j who is credited for tracks such as “Essence” by Wizkid and Tems which has just gone platinum and producing 2 tracks on Daves chart-topping album Were all alone in this together.
Young T and Bugsey have had a reasonably quiet 2021 after their breakout year the year before with their viral track “Don’t rush” which was released at the end of 2019 but through the coronavirus, pandemic went viral over social media apps such as TikTok with the Don’t rush challenge which would see users appear on the camera rough-looking before covering the camera and appearing dressed to the nines.
The duo has only released two solo singles this year and featured on two tracks. Their two releases were “Prada bae” featuring Nafe Smallz and after 3 months sit on 1.8 million Spotify streams. Their second release was “Big Bidness” which was released a month ago and has 1.4 million streams.
Unknown T has had a good 2021 with the release of his sophomore project Adolescence which reached the top 10 coming in at number 8 on its debut week. After this release T hasn’t stayed quiet and has dropped two big collaborations including “Wollan” alongside Jamaican dancehall artist Skillibeng and “Double-tap” with OFBs Abra Cadabra. Unknow Ts great year hasn’t gone unnoticed and has earned him a nomination at this year’s mobo awards under the category Best drill act.
The upcoming collaboration between these two UK music heavyweights won’t be their first collaboration with the Nottingham duo appearing on Unknown Ts debut album Rise above hate on the track “Main squeeze” which was one of the most popular tracks on the tape with just over 3.3 million Spotify streams.
“Roberto C” is expected to drop tomorrow on the 25th of November at 7:30 pm.
