Mike Skinner, English garage and grime legend, has released his second single ‘Where the f*&k did April Go?’. This comes after his first single release which featured Tame Impala.
The single, released last week, is his second of 2020 and is not due to be featured on his upcoming mixtape ‘None of us are getting out of this alive’. Unlike his previous single, it is just Skinner and features no one which is different to his mixtape which features songs only with other artists.
It is a very summery song and is decidedly feel-good which is an open welcome due to the uncertain times we find ourselves in. The song has some nice lyric work in it from Skinner which is topical to the ongoing situation.
The audio was released on The Streets YouTube and a video is yet to be released for the song yet.
It will no doubt be the start of what will be seen as a mixtape roll out which will see the Birmingham native release a string of singles in the lead up to the July 10th release date of his new mixtape.

This year is shaping up to be an exciting year for fans of The Streets who will see the release of his new work, his first full length project since 2011. That is something they will be able to look forward to listening to albeit, more than likely, still indoors.
It will leave a somewhat bitter taste in their mouths as they will be left daydreaming thinking about how they could have been watching him live as he had performances scheduled. But right now that is all we can do; dream.
