The Stone Roses set the rumour mill running wild again today, as NME reports that the band have confirmed two additional dates totheir tour next year, but with speculation running rife about the band potentially headlining next year’s Reading and Leeds Festival.
The festival rumours initiated when the band’s famous lemon emblem began cropping up across both Reading and Leeds, as seen in the tweets of multiple fans. The Britpop icons pulled a similar stunt last year, with the lemons appearing across their home city of Manchester, before the announced their show at the Etihad stadium.
The two additional dates that were today confirmed will take place at Leeds First Direct Arena on the 20th and 21st of June. Rumours had previously emerged that The Stone Roses may have been headlining Glastonbury this year, alongside Daft Punk, however Emily Eavis spoke out to deny this at the end of October.
