The 15 nominees for next years Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced. Among the nominees are the likes of The Smiths, Janet Jackson, Yes, Nine Inch Nails and many more.
The 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame awards will take place next year in April 2016; the final list for those to be inducted will be released in a few short months in December.
The final list will be voted for by the public; with music fans having the deciding vote as to who gets inducted to the prestigious Hall of Fame. Votes will be taken here.
Six separate acts are voted in every year as part of the process; this year saw the likes of Green Day, Lou Reed, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bill Withers and others voted in. A prestigious group of musicians indeed!

The induction was perhaps bitter sweet, with Pink Floyd missing band members Roger Waters and Syd Barrett.
