London’s Carnaby Street is one of the most famous shopping streets that the capital has to offer. Now the street in Soho is getting a new addition, and it’s a quite famous one: The Rolling Stones themselves are opening their own shop on Carnaby Street next month. The band’s first flagship store will open on the 9th September – probably a hint to the address, Carnaby St. 9, and the name of the store, which is called “RS No.9”.
Merchandise, fashion, collaborations, releases and the band’s extensive music catalogue – the shop has everything that a Stones fan could dream of. But international fans don’t worry, the items can also be purchased online. “More than just a store, RS No.9 will be a fully immersive experience for fans of all ages”, a press release promises according to NME.
The band has been teasing the store on their official Twitter account, as well as a brand-new Instagram account called @rollingstonescarnaby solely dedicated to the store. “Soho has always encapsulated rock’n’roll so Carnaby Street was the perfect spot for our own store”, the legendary rockstars said. “We are confident this exciting project that our friends at Bravado have created will be an unrivalled experience for everyone to come to London and enjoy.”
