Despite a physical form of the album still having never been released; Kanye West’s latest release ‘The Life of Pablo’ has reached all new highs by topping the US album charts.
This means that not only is ‘The Life of Pablo’ hugely successful but also record breaking, as it is officially the first album to have reached the top of the charts based entirely on stream and download sales. With Billboard saying that:
“more than half of its units were generated by streaming equivalent albums.”
Not only that but all this has happened in the week that it’s been made available. Of course Kanye is delighted with this news, and surprisingly thanks someone who isn’t himself!
Thank you to everybody who made The Life of Pablo the number 1 album in the world!!!

Continuing to thank his fans and show his happiness at the fact that his album has been so well received:
I’m so happy that you guys like the music… I’m working on the tour designs now…

Whether or not Kanye will ever release ‘The Life of Pablo’ as a CD remains uncertain, however with the success he has enjoyed since taking it from Tidal and making it more available, one can imagine that he will certainly be tempted.
After the continued fiasco with the inital releases, with Kanye releasing ‘The Life of Pablo’ and then pulling it from availability to then re-releasing it after having edited a few songs it seems that it was all worth it! And let’s face it, we wouln’t expect nor want anything different from the man.
