The supergroup consists of Matt Bellamy, Miles Kane, Nic Cester, Graham Coxon, Sean Payne, Jamie Davis and even Paul McCartney sporadically. These names alone prove that the band should be seen as one of the most dominant forces in the rock genre. But with the group in its infancy, you can not expect them to do too much considering they have only released three singles so far.
With news that they have their debut album coming later this year, fans of the band (or maybe just fans of the members individual bands) will have something to look forward to. Going off the quality of their previous releases it will be one to look out for. You could guess it could be a good album going off the quality of the members track record. There is plenty enough quality there to get even the most stoic of people excited.

In their most recent release, they have covered two songs by both Dame Vera Lynn and The Four Tops respectively. Quite surprisingly Matt Bellamy does a good job of taking the lead vocals on the wartime classic. The video has a very retro feel with it all being shot in black and white. This goes with the feel the bandit trying to create considering they initially formed to play Beatles covers. It also shows all the members of the band playing their instruments over video call. It was released on the 31st of July and currently sits on 42,000 views.
The band initially came together to release Beatles covers (and were quite aptly named Dr. Peppers Jaded Hearts Club Band) but then started covering songs from other artists then eventually making their own original songs. The band have gone full circle; from performing Beatles covers to then having Paul McCartney perform with them.
Seeing the trajectory of the band so far, you have to think that they have a big story yet to come. If it will be as big as their own respective projects, it will definitely be one to watch. With the names in the band, it’s almost as if success will be guaranteed. Hopefully that is not the commentators’ curse but it is safe to bet that they will be good to watch.
The names attached to the band would be enough to warrant getting excited over never mind being in the same band. It is the type of thing you never thought you would see. Fans of Muse, Blur, Last Shadow Puppets will find more than enough to get excited over.
