The Great Escape Festival is hitting the road, as a brand new live music showcase ‘The Road To The Great Escape’ for 2020 is announced. The Road To The Great Escape is a brand new live music showcase, that will see the all the fun of The Great Escape Festival heading to Scotland and Ireland, in 2020. Details of line-up and tickets will be announced very soon.
The Great Escape Festival is set to kick off, in May 2020, but festival goers can get into the spirit of The Great Escape Festival in the run up to the actual event by soaking up all that The Road To The Great Escape has to offer. The Road To The Great Escape, is two days of special live music that will be taking place, in Glasgow and Dublin, where 30 of the UK’s up-and-coming artists will wow crowds, before heading down to the South coast.
Get ready, TGE is about to hit the road in 2020.
The Road To The Great Escape comes to Scotland & Ireland, with 2 day showcases at @kingtuts, Glasgow on 9-10 May, and multiple venues in Dublin on 11-12 May 2020.

The Road To The Great Escape will be heading to Glasgow’s King Tuts Wah Wah Hut first, between the 9th and 11th of May 2020, before heading to multiple venues across Dublin, between the 11th and 12th of May 2020. The Road to The Great Escape will allow fans to get a teaser of what will be on offer at the festival main event, which will see The Great Escape Festival taking place, in Brighton, between the 13th and 16th of May 2020. Speaking about the announcement, CEO of MAMA Festivals, Rory Bett said: “Glasgow and Dublin are hotbeds for new music, and we are delighted to reflect this at The Road To The Great Escape. We are incredibly excited by the range of acts we’ve selected and can’t wait to share the line-up. This is one not to be missed!”
The announcement comes after the festival revealed 14 more artists that will be heading to Brighton, in May 2020. Joining an already stellar line-up that includes a spotlight show from rapper Aitch is JAY1, GoGo Penguin, Velvet Negroni, Evie Irie, Angelica Garcia, Baker Boy, Sinead O’Brien, Odunsi (The Engine), Larry Pink The Human, Public Practice, Jada, BENEE, Phoebe Green, and Aaron Smith.

These 14 names will join the first fifty, which includes Amber Van Day, Avaera, Balming Tiger, Boy Scouts, CHLOBOCOP, Do Nothing, Full Colour, Girls In Synthesis, , Grace Ives, Hana Vu, House Of Phaohs, John, Joseph Lawerence & The Garden, Knucks, and Layfullstop.
The following names will also be heading to Brighton and joining an already stellar line-up is Lazarus Kane, Lucy Lu, Lunch Money Life, Master Peace, Molly Payton, Moyka, Mysie, Nardeydey, Noisy, Oscar Lang, Sarathy Korwar, Sassy 009, Silverbacks, , Somebody’s Child, Sons Of Raphael, Teks Sinatra, The Cool Greenhouse, Tragic Sasha, Wargasm, Weird Milk, and Yellowstraps.
