Supersonic was first launched in 2003 originally as a one day event produced by Capsule Brum and has become one of the most celebrated arts and music festivals in the world. One of the highlights of Birmingham’s cultural calendar every year, it attracts an audience who come from everywhere.
As far as festivals that specialise in the more experimental side of music go, Supersonic is considered to be the very best, with much support from publications such as “The Quietus” and “Arts Desk” and even gaining acclaim from leading tabloids such as The Independent and The Guardian. Over the course of its fifteen year history it has been host to some incredible performances not just from musical artists but also visual art and performances that get the audience involved.
