Grime titan Stormzy has teased fans with a new album already, in a new freestyle that was released last night.
In a brand new video for ‘4PM in London’, a freestyle set to the beat of Drake’s ‘4PM in Calabasas’, Stormzy takes aim at the record labels that have tried to sign him, during and after his huge success.
After a hugely busy summer- involving some enormous festival sets- Stormzy also hints that he’s been hard at work on a follow-up to Gang Signs & Prayer, despite the debut LP being released in February of this year.
“Heard the first hit, they want the sequel”, he cryptically teases on ‘4PM in London’
“I’ve been working fucking hard, the album’s coming soon I swear.”
This new track comes a week after Stormzy released a short film, baring the same name as his debut album. The film was written by Rollo Jackson, and is being touted as a snapshot into how the London MC rose to prominence.
Speaking about the film, Stormzy said “Young youts like myself, that grow up in the hood, we often don’t know that we are actually the masters of our own destiny.
