Stefflon Don has announced her biggest UK tour to date, the rapper and singer will end a breakthrough year with five headline dates, including a show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. The Birmingham-born rapper is set to kick off her five-date tour in Cardiff, on the 23rd of November 2018 and is scheduled to conclude her biggest ever headline tour in London, on the 29th of November 2018.
Recognised as one of the UK’s brightest new talents, Stefflon’s tour comes hot on the heels of the release of her hugely successful and critically acclaimed second mixtape, ‘Secure’, which was released in August. That’s not all, the platinum-selling artist has had a busy year with live performances on James Corden’s Late Show in the US, collaborations with artists including Future, DJ Khaled, Calvin Harris and she also found herself appearing on Drake’s album ‘Scorpion’, and headlining the Disturbing Ibiza series with Tinie Tempah over the summer. ‘Secure’ has seen her work alongside homegrown talent including Ebenezer, Haile from WSTRN, Fekky and Tiggs Da Author.
The ‘Hurtin’ Me’ hitmaker is working hard to make sure her second UK headline run is focusing all her energy on the choreography for her November 2018 tour. Speaking to Newsbeat from BBC Radio 1 Xtra Live at London’s The O2 arena over the weekend, Stefflon said: “I’m having a two month serious prep so I can get everything bang on with the choreography.”
The 26-year-old rapper has admitted that she’s slid into the DMs on Twitter with everyone she has collaborated with including French Montana, Skepta, and Ne-Yo, in the hopes they will join her on stage this November. “I’m trying to bring out everybody I’ve collaborated with. It’s my biggest tour and I’m not joking. I’ve been hollering people and they’re all like ‘Yeah, yeah, of course.’ I want it to be a moment the audience will never forget. I love to put on a show and I want people to see I’m really serious,” says Stefflon.
It was announced recently that Stefflon Don, who’s real name is Stephanie Allen, and Tom Walker will be honoured with the 2018 ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) Vanguard Award, on the 23rd of October 2018. Following in the footsteps of 2017’s winner Dua Lipa and The Amazons. The ‘Envy Us’ rapper and rising singer/song-writer, will collect their prizes at a star-studded ceremony in London.
