UK rap legend Squeekz has returned with his first appearance in over five years with his Daily Duppy on GRM daily.
The Islington rapper previewed the freestyle on his Instagram a week ago too much anticipation across a number of blog pages and has already gained over a quarter of a million views in less than 24 hours.
Squeeks has been away from the rap scene for a while after serving five years of a nine years sentence, after being found guilty of a number of armed robberies.
“I just did a five I cant do a night off”, Squeeekz says this lyric in the second part of his Daily Duppy and fans of the iconic UK rapper will be hoping he’s talking about music and will follow a similar path as fellow street rapper Potter Payper who following his release from a 3-year sentence just over a year ago has gone on to chart 3rd with his latest, mixtape and sign to 0207 Defjam.
Squeekz came up in the Uk rap scene in the early 2010s around the same time as fellow Islington rappers Joe Black and Benny Banks as well as Mashtowns Margs who is now the host of one of the most popular UK podcast ‘No Behaviour’.
His most notable songs are ‘Usual suspects’ with Joe black which has over 3.9 million views, his Behind Barz on Link up tv currently sitting on 3.6 million views and his SBTV F64 on over 800,000 views.
Squeekz return has been long-awaited and fans can only hope to see more of the talented artist.
