Soul II Soul have announced a Club Classics tour in the UK throughout October and November 2020. The band are set to play 15 dates across the country in the fall, travelling from Portsmouth, London, Liverpool and Glasgow. Tickets for the run, tributing the acclaimed debut album Club Classics Vol 1, became available on Monday October 7 through 02, MJR pre sale on October 8, and General sale from October 9.
The band have won an Ivor Novello Award with band member Jazzie B being awarded an OBE in 2008 for his services to music, and together they have sold in excess of 10 million albums worldwide. Jammie B said of the upcoming tour, “Who would have thought that after thirty-odd years later we’d still be on the road with this thing? It’s been a helluva journey – literally! – and I feel truly blessed. Now, I’m looking forward to going back to some of the familiar venues where we’ve made a lot of friends.”
He also added. “I’m just as pumped about testing out places we’ve never been before but I’m seriously excited about playing the Royal Albert Hall. I want to thank to the fullness everybody who’s given their support up until now, and I’ll see you along the way – a happy face, a thumpin’ bass for a lovin’ race.”
