Sophie Ellis-Bextor performed on The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday (June 25), however BBC was unable to film and air her performance on BBC iPlayer. While most sets at the festival are filmed and streamed live by BBC, Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s set was not broadcasted on BBC iPlayer due to camera crew shift patterns.
In response to the many confused fans who could not watch the performance on iPlayer, the English singer-songwriter explained on Twitter: “I’m getting a lot of messages asking about watching my @glastonbury set on iPlayer. Obviously, that would have been wonderful, but sadly due to hours on the day it wasn’t possible for the BBC to cover my set. Next time…! Xx”
