Northampton-based rapper Slowthai has announced UK tour dates for August and September following the release of his second album ‘Tyron’ on 12th February. He will be heading out to smaller venues in six cities – Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Oxford, Southampton and London for ‘Something To Look Forward To’ tour. Tickets will go on general sale on 19th February but fans can purchase any of Slowthai’s albums to be added to the priority queue for the pre-sale on the 18th.
In a statement, Slowthai said: “I miss you all so much and we need something to look forward to so I’m taking it back to the smaller venues that need our support more than ever. LOVE YOU CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU IN THOSE SWEATY BOX ROOMS LET’S GET IT.”

Slowthai has also dropped a music video for ‘Vex’, one of the latest singles from his album ‘Tyron’. The video features striking scenes of the rapper working in a diner with some disturbing, horror-like visuals, resembling ‘CANCELLED’ music video released on 9th February which had numerous horror movie references from American Psycho to Nightmare on Elm Street.
In an interview, Slowthai talked about what inspired his album and its tone: “I’ve always got energy and sometimes sitting inside gets it pent up — and I want people to feel that. Even though we’re on lockdown and we’re in this shit time or whatever, you can still have a good time. You may not be with all your friends and family, but if you’re happy within yourself and you can just vibe out on your own, what does it matter?”
‘Tyron’ is out now on all platforms, you can check out the video for ‘Vex’ below.
