The Secret Garden Party, one of the first UK’s ’boutique festivals’, has run since 2003 and have seen many amazing musicians on its stage: Gorillaz, Florence + The Machine, Faithless, Blondie and many more. The festival humbly started with friends gathering in the Cambridgeshire area and grew organically over the years. The festival founder Freddie Fellowes said: “20 years ago, I started out with a set of ideas as to what makes a good party as well as the most perfect venue for it. Much has changed since our first Garden Party, when there was nothing else like it in the UK: Facebook, YouTube and Twitter had yet to be invented and no one knew what a boutique festival was, let alone Glamping“.

In 2017 he ended the event adding that they were working on different festivals to launch soon. “We have never compromised our principles and we never will. SGP has always been a beacon of what you can do within those terms and, as imitation (being the sincerest form of flattery) proves, it has set the bar for everyone else going forward.
It was exactly because of those principles, and the love of those who have made the Garden Party what it is, that we closed our doors in 2017” he added.
The Secret Garden Party, known for “its wild hedonism, creativity, and immersive audiences in fancy dress” is back next summer.
To get tickets to the event you have to register via the SGP website from 1st September. Currently, the webpage features a countdown clock indicating the time left to register. More details about the dates and line-up are still to be revealed.
