Sea Girls have shared a cover of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’ ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ for fans to enjoy in time for Valentine’s Day. The single was originally featured on Mark Ronson’s album Late Night Feelings in 2019.
In an interview with NME, frontman Henry Camamile said: “The first time I heard it was when we were on our tour bus driving through Belgium in the middle of the night to play a festival in Germany the next day, I couldn’t stop playing it for the next 24 hours. It just sounds like a classic. The lyrics are just infectious. ‘We live and die by pretty lies‘ tells a great story, you know? We’re really proud of how it’s turned out and hopefully I’ve done Miley justice in the vocal delivery.”
Sea Girls released a trailer for ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ on 11st of February.
Sea Girls have also shared a Valentine’s Day themed Spotify playlist named ‘Blood Valentine Playlist’ featuring The Killers, Machine Gun Kelly, Pale Waves and more, saying: “Grab a partner, wear a mask, and fall in and out of love with these quality tracks.” The playlist is around two hours long and starts off with their latest cover ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ and includes some fan favourites such as ‘Favourite Colour’ and ‘Daisy Daisy’ from their first EP, ‘Call Me Out’ and ‘Soldier On’ from a recent EP released in 2020, ‘Under Exit Lights’.
Tour dates for Sea Girls have been rescheduled to Autumn 2021 following the release of their latest album ‘Open Up Your Head’ in August 2020. The band will commence their tour on 7th October at Leicester, heading out to a total of eleven cities. Tickets can be bought on their website.
