Rod Stewart released his new single “One More Time” today September 16th and also announced the release of his new album The Tears of Hercules.
The singer’s new single is the first release from his new album and will be his 31st studio album. The album is also the singer’s fourth album of original songs since 2013.
Sir Roderick David Stewart (CBE) is a singer, songwriter and record producer whose career began in 1962, he is also a band member of Faces as well as a solo artist. The singer received a Knighthood for his services to music and charity in 2016 and has sold 250 million records worldwide.
The singer has also achieved 10 UK number 1 albums, 46 UK top 40 singles, 36 UK top 10 albums and 6 number 1 singles in the UK Official Charts.
The singer said that his new single and album came from his personal experiences. The video for the singer’s new single was made in Kensington Gardens, Piccadilly Circus, The Mall and outside Buckingham Palace.
When discussing his new album the singer said “I’ve never said this before about any previous efforts, but I believe this is by far my best album in many a year.” The singer’s new album features nine original songs as well as songs by Marc Jordan who wrote the title track and Johnny Cash.
The last song on the album “Touchline” is dedicated to the singer’s late father due to his love of football. The singer’s new album is set for release on November 12th and he will be embarking on a US tour next month.
The singer urged his followers to pre-order his new album for early ticket access for his upcoming UK tour. The singer’s UK tour dates are yet to be announced.
