Rag’n’Bone Man took it to social media yesterday to share teaser clips of new single and video for ‘Anywhere Away From Here’, a collaboration with P!nk, due to be released 9th April. The alliance with P!nk, real name Alecia Beth Moore, was first announced on the 30th, when Rag’n’Bone Man, real name Rory Charles Graham, posted a black and white photo of the pair on Instagram, with the caption: “Been keeping this one quiet for a while… My next single ‘Anywhere Away From Here’ is with the incredible @pink“
Yesterday, Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk posted a 30-second clip on Instagram featuring a cassette tape rolling with a snippet of the new single in the background. The sound consists of Graham’s deep singing in the first half before cutting to Moore’s powerful but calm vocals in the second half.
The final teaser clip features a part of the music video itself, where Graham sits in a chair in the middle of a grand hall surrounded by wheat, with shots cutting into the silhouette of Moore, who is standing up amidst various flowers. The caption simply reads: “09.04.21 @pink“
Rag’n’Bone Man first found fame with his hit single ‘Human’ in 2016, where P!nk was first eager to team up with the singer after his Europe tour in 2017. In a statement, she said: “I had already fallen in love with his voice, and when we met in person I quickly learned he has a beautiful soul, too. ‘Anywhere Away From Here’ couldn’t be a better song for us to sing together. I’m so honoured to be a part of this collaboration.”
Speaking about the song, Graham also expressed his excitement regarding this collaboration, saying: “This song is an honest reflection of wanting to disappear from uncomfortable situations – about the vulnerabilities that we all face. It’s an honour to have Pink on this record and I’m so glad she is able to be a part of it.”
‘Anywhere Away from Here’, will be out on 9th April and feature in Rag’n’Bone Man’s new album ‘Life By Misadventure’, which is due to be released on 7th May. The brand new LP can be pre-ordered here.
