Considering just how important an internet presence is for bands in this day and age, it’s a testament to the popularity of Radiohead that they can delete their presence from the internet (at least all their official stuff) and probably get away with it! If any lesser band did this they would certainly enjoy a popularity dip!
What remains important however, is that whilst Radiohead has wiped its homepage, Twitter and Facebook page, the fact remains that these sites are still in existence; the actual sites and pages have not been completely deleted but rather ‘cleansed’. This points to evidence that in a few short days or a week or so we shall see a big update from Radiohead! At least, that is what we are all hoping!
The main rumour is that the new announcement will be details regarding a new album! Which will be their ninth and their first since 2011 (The King of Limbs). This rumour is further fueled by the fact that fans received a series of flyers posted to their address:
Umm, I just got this in the post from Radiohead. Is the new album called Burn The Witch? pic.twitter.com/zv5QKnDeGh

In a typical quirky move by Radiohead this wouldn’t be overly too surprising if this was the title of their new apparent album. No doubt in a few days or so we will have another article on Radiohead and be able to keep you up to date with what the band are doing!
