Queens Of The Stone Age have announced that their long-awaited new album Villians, produced by Mark Ronson, will be released on August 25th and is available for pre-order now. Ronson is famous for producing albums for Adele, Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse and more.
The announcement comes shortly after the band teased new music on their website using bizarre trailers for potential new songs, with the album title being revealed during humorous a lie detector test with frontman Josh Homme.
Villains is the seventh album in the QOTSA discography, following their 2013 release …Like Clockwork.

Speaking to NME magazine about the new song and how it has more of a “super-sexy” rhythm to it, Homme said, “Well it’s about screwing so I guess that answers that question!” Alongside this, when NME asked Homme how representative it is of the rest of the album, he replied “They all have this shared philosophy, which has always been my philosophy, but it seems ever more urgent and it’s that now is all you’ll ever get. You need to not wait and do whatever you want to do now
“That is inside every moment of the record. It’s got an urgency without an emergency, you know what I mean?”
QOTSA will be heading out on tour around the UK in November.
