Being reported in NME, Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien has said that the band had been planning to tour in 2021 but the plans have been thrown into disarray by the pandemic.
Finishing a tour in 2018 for their most recent album ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, the band has had members Thom Yorke and O’Brien himself release solo material. This was set to see them tour in 2020 off the back of this, but these dates had to be cancelled due to the unfortunate virus outbreak.
Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes US dates have moved to the fall. Most venues are unchanged & original tickets are valid EXCEPT Fairfax VA (now Washington DC) & Chicago (new venue). St. Paul MN is sadly cancelled: contact your point of purchase. More info here: https://t.co/yWMS7SQY1ipic.twitter.com/sYT5AgDkg5

This means the planned tour dates will be moved back to 2021. The news will mean that fans of the experimental English band will have to wait another year to be in with the chance of seeing them.
First rising to prominence in the 90’s, Radiohead found much success with singles such as ‘Creep’ the band finally found success in England with second album ‘The Bends’. Since then the band have been on the cutting edge of music pushing the boat out more and more with each album.
The band have been supplying fans with archive footage of their previous live performances. Which is a nice gesture but will make it even worse to fans who were hoping to see the songs in person rather than over a screen. Check it out below:
This has seen groundbreaking albums being released by the band such as ‘Kid A‘, ‘OK Computer‘, ‘In Rainbows‘ and ‘A Moon Shaped Pool‘. The latter of which was nominated for a Mercury Prize and Best Alternative Album at the Grammys. Single “Burn the Witch” was also nominated for Best Rock Song.
Unfortunately it means that fans will have to wait until 2021 at least to see them perform. But known for their live shows, it will more than likely be worth the wait.
