Pete Doherty has announced he is going to be releasing his first solo album in seven years.
The former Babyshambles and Libertines star will release Hamburg Demonstrations in December after revealing back in March he was putting the finishing touches to the record. He has just unveiled his new single, ‘I Don’t Love Anyone (But You’re Not Just Anyone)’.
The album will be released on December 2nd and the track-listing includes several songs that he’s released as singles over the last few years, including ‘Flags of the Old Regime’, which was his tribute to Amy Winehouse. Another song, ’Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven’ was written after the Paris terror attacks last November. Pete Doherty will be the first act to play the Bataclan when the venue re-opens in November this year.
The new album is the first since the release of Grace/Wastelands back in 2009 and follows the release of the Libertines comeback album, Anthems For Doomed Youth, last year.
