English Indie-rock band Pale Waves released their latest single ‘Fall To Pieces’ on the 9th of February.
The band’s latest single comes after the release of ‘You Don’t Own Me’, ‘She’s My Religion’ and ‘Easy’ which the band shared earlier as preview for their upcoming album titled ‘Who Am I?’ which is set to release on the 12th of February. Listen to ‘Fall To Pieces’ below:
Speaking to BBC 1’s Annie Mac, Pale Wave’s front-woman Heather Baron-Gracie described ‘Fall To Pieces’ as a song that talks about finding one’s self in the same arguments and in a constant cycle in a relationship. She added further that the song wasn’t made to speak of the absolute negative- “This isn’t just a completely negative song – like, ‘How long until we essentially break apart?’ – it does have a glimpse of hopefulness and it does wanna defeat that evil cycle. But it’s sort of just (speaking of) getting stuck in that same pattern.”
The band’s upcoming album ‘Who Am I? will also feature the songs ‘Tomorrow’, ‘Odd Ones Out’, ‘Run To’ and ‘Wish U Were Here’. The band said of ‘Who Am I?’ that it “acts as the Pale Waves manifesto – inspiring inclusivity, self-discovery, and the notion of being whoever the hell you want to be”.
