Celebrated Hard Rock vocalist Ozzy Osbourne has recently updated his Instagram feed, sharing with fans an announcement regarding the merch products of ‘Ozzfest’. It says that 10% of all sales are going directly to the Michael J Fox Organisation for Parkinson’s Research. The foundation was established in 2000 by the Canadian-American actor Michael J. Fox and by now it funded over $900 million in a research program, as seen in the official website of the organization.
It is known that Ozzy had severe health problems in the last year and underwent a series of surgeries. In his latest interview for ‘Good Morning America’, the frontman reviewed that he’s also diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Days after the announcement, the organization expressed gratitude in a tweet addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Osbourne.
Despite his health issues, the beloved Black Sabbath vocalist hasn’t stopped releasing new material. In February this year, he released his twelfth studio album ‘Ordinary Man’. The title track is a collaboration with Elton John.
The new album was produced by guitar player Andrew Watt and songwriter and mix engineer Louis Bell and released through Epic Records.
