Norwegian punk band Blood Command have announced a UK tour run in December to promote the new album release of World Domination. Following last year’s critically acclaimed record Praise Armageddonism, Blood Command have returned to the studio to release the follow up entitled, World Domination. What will also add considerable excitement to a new album announcement-UK based fans of the band will be getting a headlining tour beginning in December.
With the new album set for release on 29 September, the UK will be getting the chance to see the new songs in action, in what will surely see the band gather momentum for what is quickly becoming a solid act. Speaking on what is an exciting time for the band, Blood Command said of the news, “like various underground religious groups throughout history, Blood Command’s ever growing following, The Awaketeam, is rising around the globe, and we are not stopping until world domination. So keep your eyes peeled for purple shrouds, three stripes and black and white sneakers.”
Blood Command announced their new album only days ago and released a new video for song “World Domination”. The song follows two others that have been slowly drip fed to listeners over the past few months, with fans getting a taste for the new material that will make up the album.
Featuring a staggering 20 songs, the three singles that the group have released thus far (“Decades”, “Losing Faith” and “World Domination”) highlight a significant change in direction-the band thus far moving away from their anthemic punk/hardcore sound to a more laid back, softer approach. It is unclear if the rest of the album will follow a similar trajectory, but one thing remains the same-Blood Command retain their penchant for writing appealingly catchy tunes.
Founded in Bergen, Norway in 2008, Blood Command broke onto the scene with their critically well received third album Cult Drugs-making the band one of the most intriguing up and comers in the punk and metal scene. Line up changes, particularly of their various frontwomen, threatened to derail the stability of the band but with the addition of fiery singer Nikki Brumen, Blood Command finally seem poised to take their sound to the next level-becoming a true powerhouse force on the brink of becoming a household name in rock.
The UK tour will see the band visiting major cities including Bristol, Manchester and London as well as dates in Glasgow, Cardiff and Newcastle. Tickets for the tour will go live on 5 June at 10am and can be found here.
