Noel Gallagher and co are set to release Blue Moon Rising, the final set of the EP trilogy. The EP will be available on March 6, two weeks before the recently announced tour in Gallagher’s hometown. Blue Moon Rising will follow up the release of critically-acclaimed This Is the Place—the second EP dropped back in September 2019—and Black Star Dancing—the first of the three EPs unveiled in June 2019. “Wandering Star” is the single off Blue Moon Rising, which has a tinge of Christmas vibes and uplifting lyrics.
Despite the announcement of forthcoming music and concerts, the 52-year-old legend did mention the thought of taking a hiatus. Appearing as a guest on Funny How? podcast held by Matt Morgan, Gallagher stated his plan to “take a big chunk of time off”, as he said, “I’m ready to call it a day, actually. I’m ready to stop touring for a while. I’m ready to take a big chunk of time off.”
He added, “I can see myself not producing as much material and touring every five to six years, as opposed to every two or three. I’m 52 now. By the time I finish the next tour I’ll be 58, so that’s nearly 60. You don’t know how you’re going to feel physically. You’re gonna think, ‘Can I be f***ing arsed to be away from the kids?'”
