Noel Gallagher has released his new single, ‘A Dream Is All You Need To Get By’. The single is set to be a part of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds latest extended play, ‘This Is The Place’, due out on September 27, consisting of five tracks, including ‘This Is The Place’, ‘Evil Flower’, a ‘Reflex Revision’ remix of ‘Evil Flower’ and a Dense & Pika remix to ‘This Is The Place’. The new single can be heard via Spotify at the link below.
The EP will be available in two forms, digitally and in vinyl, of which there are two versions, coloured vinyl and picture disc. The extended play is the second in a planned collection of three, after the release of ‘Black Star Dancing’, back in June. NME awarded the EP four stars in their review of Noel’s work.
Noel compared his latest single to a Smiths B-Side, saying. “To my ears it sounds like one of those iconic B-sides by The Smiths, only obviously not as good,”
He added. “A song that was born very quickly which is always a good sign… like it’s always existed… somewhere… Manchester probably.”
On the other side of the spectrum, Liam Gallagher released the latest single, ‘One Of Us’ from his upcoming second solo album, ‘Why Me?, Why Not’, out next week on September 20. The music video was directed by Anthony Byrne, one of the creative minds behind Peaky Blinders. Liam also spoke out in an interview with EL Pais’ Icon about his relationship with Noel, and their infamous ongoing feud, where he believes that Noel no longer “likes” him.
Liam said in the interview.“People ask me all the time when is Oasis coming back? It doesn’t look good right now. I’m beginning to believe that Noel doesn’t really like me. I always thought that when he messed with me he was joking, that he really loved me. But I have the feeling that it is true that he does not like me. It is a pity. I love him,”
