Noel Gallagher has released a new single entitled ‘This is the Place’. The new EP by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds shares the same name ‘This is the Place’. This EP marks one of three new projects being released by the band. ‘This is the Place’ is one of five tracks from the new EP, and can be listened to at the link beneath on Spotify. The EP is set for a release date on September 27. It will be made available in digital and vinyl forms. The two versions available on vinyl will be a picture disc and coloured vinyl.
The track listing of the EP includes songs, ‘A Dream Is All I Need To Get By’ and ‘Evil Flower’. Two remixes have been included on the EP, a Dense & Pika remix of ‘This is the Place’, and a ‘Reflex Revision’ reworking of ‘Evil Flower’.
Awarded four stars in an NME review, with the article describing Noel as not being “tethered by anything, least of all your expectations”, the former Oasis guitarist’s last EP, ‘Black Star Dancing’, was unveiled back in June. Between August 8 and 31, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are set to go on tour with Smashing Pumpkins, before a winter tour with Irish rockers U2 in Australia.
Meanwhile, during an interview with Seth Meyers, Noel declared plans to sell his Oasis masters to the highest bidder. He explained to the chat host that the masters are set to return to him “in about four to five years”. Once he secures the rights to the recordings, Noel elaborated on his intentions in spending the proceeds, saying, “I’m going to buy a plane, a yacht, I want a chimp with a top hat, and I’ll buy a rocket. And then I’ll leave the kids with the other stuff from the 2000s.”
