Niall Horan recently worked with Spotify to record two stripped back singles for their Spotify Singles programme. One song was a version of Niall’s ‘No Judgement’, and the other was a country-rock version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ featuring Fletcher.
The singles were released on 4th March on Spotify, and received approval from Swift herself. The American singer-songwriter posted a screenshot of the song on her Instagram Story with the caption “This is absolutely stunning. @nialhoran @findingxfletcher, love you guys.”
This is the highest form of praise for Horan, who has expressed a love for Swift’s music in the past. When the album ‘Lover’ came out in August 2019, the singer posted on his Instagram Story calling the song a “classic” and saying “it’s so important for music.”
“Lover is one of my favourite songs I’ve heard in a long time…The minute I found out I was doing a #SpotifySingles, there was only one song I was doing…” – @NiallOfficial
