Texan dance maestro Botany has released new track ‘Simple Creatures’ ahead of the release of his new album ‘Lava Diviner (True story)’
Botany real name Spencer Stephenson has hinted at just how big an eruption his next album could be with this new track. The atmospheric sound to this song helps give the listener a true understanding of the emotion that went into the creation of this song and the journey that was taken to get there.
On the new album Botany said “On Lava Diviner, I wanted to conjure that same headspace that artists like Roger Dean, and even Zdzislaw Beksinski project in their iconic paintings,”
“I tried to evoke those grand, colourful, surreal landscapes that are mind-bending yet oddly comforting – sci-fi and epic and holy, all at the same time.”
Stephenson has loosely tried to create a concept album based around the idea of a religious sect praying for a volcano to erupt, he has done this only through the use of the emotional tone that this theme may evoke, which in itself is an incredible feat.
