The coronavirus pandemic has seen the British music festival go from an expected summer highlight to a far off dream. However, this pipe dream may not be too far from reality, because a new UK music festival has been announced today (September 29th).
A partnership between music promotion giants Futuresounds and Somewhere, the brand new festival is called Get Together. Get Together organisers wrote in an official statement today that they are “looking forward to a time when music fans are once again able to share the joy of being in the same space and sharing the excitement of live music”.
Get Togethers’ first-ever instalment will commence at Sheffield University’s Students Union. The exact dates of Get Together will fall on the Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd 2021.
