Muse’s frontman Matt Bellamy has embarked on a business venture with Manson Guitar Works. Bellamy took to his social media, announcing his partnership with Manson Guitar Works in launching a new guitar model titled “Manson Meta-Series MBM-1 Signature Guitar”.
Muse fans can now pre-order Bellamy’s signature guitar for £569, which is available in Satin Black and Starlight Silver. The Muse frontman said that he was “proud to announce the launch of our new Manson Meta-Series MBM-1 Signature Guitar” on his Instagram post. See the post and the guitar below.
Bellamy has become a majority shareholder and taken an ownership in the Manson workshop in Devon since 2000. Back in June last year, the singer also promised to lessen the price of Manson’s guitars to make them more affordable for his fans. On Manson’s official site, the price of the popular M-Series guitars ranges from £1,199 to £1,619, but Ballamy attempted to reduce the price.
According to NME, he spoke of the price reduction plan that he was “excited” to work with Manson in order to make the instrument with a reasonable price:
“I’m very excited to be working with the team at Manson Guitar Works,” said Ballamy. “We have plans in the coming months and years to launch a lower cost M-series guitar based on some of my favourite instruments; investigate new product in the heavier music genre including 7-string versions.”
He further stated: “As we will shortly be celebrating my 20 year relationship with Mansons we are in discussions about some high end limited edition guitars that really accurately detail my stage instruments. The future? We’ll certainly be exploring enhanced electronic features to further evolve the guitar into the modern era.”
Muse recently released the box set of Original of Muse. The collection includes songs, demos, and unreleased tracks from their two first albums Showbiz and Origin of Symmetry. There are also photos and videos that are worth collecting for Muse’s die-hard fans.
