Moonlight Academy, the electrifying alternative rock band from London, is set to kick off 2025 with a highly anticipated headline show. The event is scheduled for February 8 at The Victoria in London, a venue renowned for its intimate atmosphere and vibrant music scene.

Supporting acts for the evening will include Giant Peach and sadplanet, both of whom are expected to deliver captivating performances, making the event a must-attend for alternative rock enthusiasts. Giant Peach is a four-piece indie band formed in Brighton. Their sound blends psychedelic grooves with melodic harmonies, creating an indie-pop fusion characterised by fuzz-driven guitars and 80s inspired synths. Their debut single, ‘Melatonin’, was released in June 2018. Sadplanet is a London-based five-piece shoegaze and dream pop group formed in late 2023. Their debut single, ‘four days’, was released in April 2024, showcasing their signature sound.
Tickets for the show are currently on sale and can be purchased through DICE. The band has been actively promoting the event across various platforms, expressing their enthusiasm and encouraging fans to secure their spots for what promises to be a memorable night. The band said for MXDWN: “You are gonna hear fresh music we’ve never played before, with a few brand new songs. We’re pushing new heavier territory and trying out some new sounds that we’re buzzing to share with everyone. Strap in, I’d say, something special is coming.”
The band has recently released their debut EP ‘Above The Sky‘. The EP comprises four tracks, showcasing the band’s signature blend of guitars, drums, and emotional lyrics. The track ‘Golden’ has so far gained the most attention, averaging on 9 000 listens. Their third single, ‘Unbroken’, has receved critical acclaim, finding the band featured on BBC Introducing and Radio X. Since its release, ‘Above The Sky’ has garnered positive attention from both fans and critics.
The band actively engages with their audience on social media, sharing updates, behind-the-scenes content related to the EP, and teasing new releases. One of which is set to be released soon and will likely be performed at their upcoming headline show at The Victoria, Dalston.
