The ‘So Many Lies‘ video clip is shot entirely in black and white, in order to reflect the deeper aspects of the single. Mic spends the majority of the clip alone, in an abandoned car park. His only company is a brief, but warm, encounter with friends. The single addresses a messy breakup, and this reflects Mic’s solitude. The piece represent both the loneliness he felt, and the importance of friendships during tough times.

The ‘So Many Lies‘ is the headline single from his 2020 album, ‘Suicycle‘. The track demonstrates the emcee’s range. It fuses his characteristic, powerful, delivery with a softly-sung melodic hook. Mic Righteous is known for his hard-hitting lyrics, and he does not hold back. ‘All those times i looked in your eyes‘, the rapper muses’, ‘but when I said I loved you, you let me behind‘. He portrays, through an amalgamation of sight and sound, a true portrayal of torment.
The album is Righteous’ first since 2016. His music is characterised by his angst-filled tracks which address social issues.
