Metal titans Metallica have today confirmed that their WorldWired Tour will return to European shores, including three stadium dates in the UK and Ireland. Operatic Swedish rockers Ghost and Norwegian band Bokassa will be travelling in support of the rock legends.
All tickets that are purchased will include a complementary MP3 download of the show (or shows) attended, that will be mixed and mastered by the team behind Metallica’s last album Hardwired… To Self-Destruct. Members of the band’s Fan Club will be able to access pre-sale here on Tuesday September 25, with tickets going on general sale here, on Friday September 29. Details of the UK and Irish dates can be found below.
The tour will mark the band’s first dates in the UK and Ireland since the WorldWired Tour’s initial run from September 2017-May 2018, where they shattered attendance records in 29 different venues. The new tour will kick off on May 1 in Lisbon’s Estadio Restelo, before embarking on dates in Milan, Zurich, Dublin, Berlin, Moscow, Warsaw, Bucharest and Gothenberg. They will also play in Brussels for the first time since 1988, and make their first ever appearances in the cities of Trondheim (Norway), Hameenlinna (Finland) and Tartu (Estonia).
