Mahalia and Rico Nasty took to their respective social media accounts to announce the release of their upcoming single ‘Jealous’ which is set to hit the streaming platforms this Wednesday, the 17th of February.
The single ‘Jealous’ will mark the first release from Mahalia, and the second from Rico. Both Mahalia and Rico released albums in 2020: Mahalia’s three-track EP titled ‘Isolation Tapes’ which won Mahalia the award for Best Female Act and Best R&B/Soul Act at the 2020 MOBO Awards, and Rico’s debut album titled ‘Nightmare Vacation’.
NME reviewed ‘Nightmare Vacation’ and said that it was a solid four-star record, stating, “the frenetic Maryland artist will not be restrained by any boundaries – genre, social or otherwise – as this thrilling, wildly charged, star-stuffed debut proves.
