The Austin three piece have unveiled a brilliant new video for Outta Sight ahead of their second album Generation Club, which drops this September.
Outta Sight shows Love Inks at their very best, with an excellent blend of all things indie and pop. With frontwoman Sherry LeBlanc’s soft voice swooning over a delectable backdrop of percussion at it’s finest, complete with soothing synths to make for the ultimate summer track. The season of (supposed) good weather might be coming to an end soon, but with bands like Love Inks, the sun never stops shining and the rains clouds remain in the distance.
Generation Club was written after a long European tour in support of their first LP, E.S.P. Europe is quite a way away from Austin, Texas, and the writing reflects this, but in as positive manner as possible, according to LeBlanc.
“To get the record done Kevin (Dehan, LeBlanc’s partner and fellow Love Inks member) didn’t talk to anyone for a long time and just focused on recording. Isolating himself really angered all of his friends, who thought he was being weird, which furthered the level of isolation… Overall it’s a positive album, but it is very reflective.”
With the album set to be released in the UK this coming September, Love Inks will be returning to European soil at the end of 2013 in support of Generation Club. It will be winter by then, but seeing this group live will warm you up so you won’t feel the bitter breeze bruising against your skin.
