Louis Tomlinson was the last One Direction member to release his solo debut album. The release of his first album “Walls” was supposed to be followed by a worldwide tour. But after the “Louis Tomlinson world tour” kicked off in March, the tour had to be paused after only two shows in Barcelona and Madrid due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, 16th July, the singer took to his social media platforms to reveal the new tour dates, dated for next year.
The tour already got postponed to this summer, with the new UK dates set for September, but now the 28-year-old had to reschedule them once again. His first solo tour will now take place in 2021, with the UK dates set for February. “Can’t wait to get back on the road! See you all soon.”, Tomlinson tweeted. All tickets for the already sold out UK shows remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

There are five UK dates in total, with two shows at London’s Roundhouse, Manchester, Glasgow and Tomlinson’s hometown Doncaster, as well as numerous shows across Europe and America, Australia and Japan. His only New Zealand concert in Auckland had to be cancelled due to scheduling issues.
The singer released his debut album “Walls” on January 31st, after fans had been waiting for nearly five years. It has peaked at number 4 in the UK charts and also hit number 4 on the Billboard 100. The album, which includes songs like “Always You” or “Habit” follows the release of singles like “Back to You” with Bebe Rexha, “Two of Us”, which is dedicated to his mother who passed away in 2016, “Don’t Let It Break Your Heart”, “Kill My Mind” and his collaboration with DJ Steve Aoki, called “Just Hold On”.
The 28-year old recently announced his departure from Syco Records, the label under which One Direction were signed to X-Factor judge Simon Cowell. Tomlinson was the only member of the band who was still signed to Cowell as a solo artist, but has now also said his goodbyes to Cowell, after he spent the 2018 X-Factor edition as a judge on Cowell’s show.
