British rapper, singer and actress Little Simz shared pictures from Natural History Museum that appear to be a new upcoming video. She first uploaded pictures from the museum a few days ago with a note: “sorry I been quiet , I’ve been working. new music coming”. Yesterday she added more images, showing herself and dancers in the museum’s mail hall with the iconic skeleton of a blue whale hanging above them. She explained the latest post with words: “end of the month , let everybody know”.
The new video most likely will be for one of the songs from Little Simz’s latest EP ‘Drop 6’ released last year. The EP has been sixth in a series started with ‘Age 101: Drop 1’ from 2014 and recorded during Covid-19 quarantine. She said on social media: “I used to do an EP series years ago called the Age 101 Drops. They went up to five and i decided to continue.” See full pre release article on MXDWN here.

The album received a three starts review from NME that described it: “a rough-edged release that includes much of the push and pull between introspection, catharsis and careful optimism that we all know too well in these isolated times. It also has a palpable sense of freedom to it, with quarantine allowing artists greater room to experiment consequence-free”. Pitchfork added in their review: “a gloomy, affecting meditation on self-reliance that feels as claustrophobic as a one-room apartment”.
New video of a 27-year old singer has been announced for the end of April, however no details have been shared yet.
