Little Mix have announced they will be performing a live concert on YouTube on the 21st of August. The concert is a result of Nordoff Robbins, a musical therapy charity, teaming up with Meerkat Music. Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has said: “We can’t wait to get the nation together digitally to perform some of our favourite songs for one big party in their homes and gardens.”
The UNCancelled show will be streamed from Knebworth House in Stevenage. It will be streamed for free on the Meerkat Music YouTube channel at 8pm. This will be the band’s first performance together after their UK Summer Tour was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. When asked about the cancelled shows Leigh-Anne Pinnock said; “We’ve been devastated that we couldn’t perform live this Summer, it’s the thing we have missed the most as a band.”

This is the second virtual performance from Meerkat Music after Take That performed on their channel in May. Liz Darran, the Marketing Director behind the concert, said, “We’re delighted to return for our second performance with the biggest girl band on the planet – Little Mix. It’s been a challenging time for families, musicians, and everyone else in the UK – and we want to bring a smile to the faces of the nation, and create another memorable night of great entertainment.”
Nordoff Robbins is the UK’s largest independent music therapy charity, they use music to enrich the lives of people with life-limiting illnesses, disabilities and feelings of isolation. Sandra Schembri, CEO of Nordoff Robbins, said: “Given that during this time we’re all discovering the power of music to help lift our spirits and unite us, it makes real sense to join forces to spread the message that making music together really matters.”
