The first track from Ennio Morricone’s score of Quintin Tarantino’s new film The Hateful Eight has been revealed, called ‘L’Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock – Versione Integrale’.
The Hateful Eight is the first film that the legendary Western composer Ennio Morricone has scored for forty years. Morricone’s full soundtack for the film will be released on Jack White’s Third Man Records on Friday (18th December). Jack White also makes an appearance on the album alongside Ray Orbison, and the soundtrack will feature dialogue from the film. Have a listen of ‘L’Ultima Diligenza di Red Rock’ below:
Of course this isn’t the first time Morricone’s music has made it into a Tarantino film. Some of Ennio Morricone’s songs from classic scores of films such as The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly have been included in Tarantino’s most memorable soundtracks, including Kill Bill, Inglorious Bastards and most recently Django Unchained. The Hateful Eight will get a limited release on Christmas day, with a wider release being rolled out for 8th January. Until then you can check out the trailer for The Hateful Eight below:
