Liam’s album comes a month before his brother Noel’s new album is expected to be released. In an interview with Q Magazine, Liam recently discussed the potential battle with his brother for a place in the charts. He said in the interview: ““Course he’s fucking arsed. He plays it like he don’t give a fuck.” Liam was then asked about the closeness of release between the two albums, to which he replied Oh I’m all for it. Listen, I’ll go toe to toe with any cunt. If that becomes a fucking circus, then there’s nothing new there, is there? I mean, I’m sure it’ll be fucking amazing. But it just won’t be more amazing than mine.”
Meanwhile, Liam is touring the summer festivals this year, with a performance at Glastonbury on The Other Stage, Saturday Afternoon. Bookies have predicted 12/1 odds that there will be an Oasis reunion over the weekend, with Liam due to perform on The Other Stage, and Noel will be making an appearance to introduce a special screening of the Oasis movie ‘Supersonic’. The film follows the Britpop bands stories right from the birth of Oasis to their legendary Knebworth gigs of 1996.
