The Audacious former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has released a new summer anthem titled; “C’mon You Know”. Which is the title track for his third solo album (due to arrive 27th May 2022) released via Warner. “C’mon you Know” is the second preview of the new record, having previously released the lead single “Everything’s Electric”.
The song characterises Gallagher’s still ever-present bravado in a forthright and inspiring new hit. His distinctive vocals are still piercingly evocative and the song sees the use of more electronic elements that aren’t often associated with the brand of Liam Gallagher. The new release is so far proving he has much more in his tank. The addition of classical orchestration such as harps, cellos, gospel style backing vocals and a saxophone line give the outro section a grand sense of arrival into a new season.
With inspiring and elated lyrics, Gallagher belts out lines like; “Feel love, I can feel it everywhere, so get your hands up in the air, come on you know Beautiful people, come out to play, brothers and sisters, it’s time, so let’s start living, be thankful and give in, we’re only here for a short while, I think it’s coming home again” which trigger rich feelings of hope and action (not to mention a cheeky prediction of the results for the world cup this year).
On the 2nd March 2022, the singer was acknowledged at the BandLab NME Awards for providing the ‘Music Moment Of The Year’. In reference to a free concert, he performed for NHS workers at London’s O2. He was quoted saying “My family, we’ve always relied on the NHS, so it was just a nice thing. I feel like a bit of a dick getting an award for it!”
Gallagher will also be releasing an album titled Down By The River Thames which consists of live recordings taken from a special live-streamed gig, performed on a barge in December 2020. The album is due to drop 27th May 2022.
