Beloved Manchester singer-songwriter Liam Gallagher broadcasted a tribute to Hawkins via his Twitter, saying: “Absolutely devastated to hear the sad news about Taylor Hawkins my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends RIP brother LG x”. Gallagher also dedicated the final song of his set at his Teenage Cancer Trust show at London’s Royal Albert Hall to Hawkins; a performance of the classic Oasis tune “Live Forever” from 1994’s Definitely Maybe. Hawkins’ name was printed on the drum kit of Gallagher’s band, and during the performance of “Live Forever”, featured a projector image of the late drummer at the back of the stage.
