Lana Del Rey has announced she will be returning to the UK for a tour, in 2020, which will see the singer head to some of the UK’s biggest arenas, which includes a huge show, at The O2 arena, in London. Tickets for all shows go on sale, on Friday the 9th of August 2019, at 10am.
Del Rey released her last album ‘Lust For Life’ back in 2017, and is set to release her new album ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’, on Friday the 30th of August 2019. The highly anticipated album will be the singer’s sixth. Presale tickets for the tour are available to those who buy the forthcoming record from her official store before 5pm on Tuesday the 6th of August 2019.
Speaking, earlier this week, about working on the album, Del Rey, said: “Working with Jack [Antonoff], I was in a little bit of a lighter mood because he was so funny. So the title track is called ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’ and it’s kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist but he thinks he’s the shit and he knows it and he, like, won’t shut up talking about it.
“So often I ended up with these creative types or whatever, and you know, they just go on and on about themselves, and I’m like, ‘Yeah, yeah.’ But there’s a little bit of merit to it also. They are so good. I just like the title track so much that I was like, ‘OK, I definitely want the record to also be called that.'”
The announcement comes after, last night, Del Rey shared the comic book-themed and typically dramatic artwork for her hotly anticipated new album, ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell’, which is due for release on August 30.
Lana Del Rey got her first big break back in 2011, when she broke into the mainstream with her single ‘Video Games’, and its accompanying video, becoming an overnight sensation. She achieved worldwide fame with critically acclaimed albums ‘Born To Die’, ‘Ultraviolence’ and ‘Honeymoon’ thereafter. Since then she has released hit after hit including hit like ‘Summertime Sadness’, ‘Blue Jeans’ and ‘West Coast’.
